how did we get here

just take my breath away
and leave me here alone
my words frozen on my tongue
my questions never asked..
the silence unforgiving


cold air fills my lungs
as my lips turn blue and lifeless
my heart skips a beat
as i stare straight ahead
your cold blue eyes never moving

unsure of where we left things
fearful of the dark
waiting for the answers
waiting for a clue
but your face never changes
your words never come

and so i turn away
you'll never see my tears
and from this day on
you'll never know the hurt you put in me
...
